Troemner Flow Calibration - as low as +/- 0.2% of reading from 2 sccm to 100 slpm @ 1500 psi for Nitrogen & Helium
Troemner's
Flow Meter/Flow Controller Calibration Program was developed
to meet the most demanding requirements of precision gas thermal
mass flow calibration and repair. Troemner can also calibrate
and service variable volume meters (rotameters). The Thermal
Mass Flow Calibration Laboratory is ISO/IEC
17025 compliant.

Environmental
conditions in the Flow Calibration Laboratory
are strictly monitored and controlled. Our calibration process
employs a laminar gas flow calibration method providing unprecedented
levels of stability and precision by applying the most advanced
data acquisition and processing technologies available today.
Laboratory mass flow measurement accuracy is as low as +/-
0.2% of reading from 2 sccm to 100 slpm @ 1500 psi inlet pressure
for Nitrogen and Helium (up to 240 slpm at 1,500 psi inlet
pressure for Hydrogen). Information is available for larger
flow rates. All measurements are traceable to NIST.
Staff
Troemner's
metrologists and technicians are thoroughly trained and authorized
by a market-leading manufacturer of gas mass flow meters and
flow controllers. Troemner's Flow technicians are trained
by several manufacturers and can repair and calibrate most
brands of gas mass flow meter/flow controllers.
Processes
Troemner
offers standard and custom calibration services. Gasses used
for calibration include Nitrogen, Hydrogen, Argon and Helium.
Service and repair options include pressure testing, replacement
of seals and resizing flow rates. Oxygen cleaning is available.

Troemner
offers 3 levels of Flow Calibration Service.
Troemner
offers three standard levels of service, as well as custom
services are available. Below is a description of the Flow services available from Troemner:

Level 1 Flow Calibration Service – Troemner's
most complete service, designed to meet all of your stringent
requirements including: GLP, GMP, FDA, ISO, NCCLS, and CLIA.
Service includes:
- Convenient
single fee covers flow calibration, labor and
most repair parts - circuit boards and sensors are additional
for some makes/models.
- Visual
inspection upon arrival for signs of damage and/or wear
(labor to return the meter/controller to the manufacturer's
published specifications will be provided at no additional
charge).
- "As
Found" 7 point mass flow calibration data is collected.
- The
instrument is disassembled and cleaned.
- All
process seals and O-rings are replaced with like parts (e.g.,
Buna, Viton).
- Restrictor
and orifice are replaced (if re-ranging or changing gases).
- Unit
is reassembled, pressure tested and helium leak tested to
manufacturer's specifications.
- "As
Left" 7 point mass flow calibration is performed.
- A NIST
traceable certificate ISO/IEC 17025 compliant calibration
certificate is provided containing both tabular and plotted
accuracy versus flow data.
- A calibration
sticker is affixed to the instrument that specifies the
date of calibration.

Level
2 Flow Calibration Service – designed
for resizing and re-ranging gas mass flow meters and flow
controllers that may not require the extensive measurements,
calibration and repair provided by the Level 1. Service includes
the following:
- Visual
inspection upon arrival for signs of damage and/or wear.
(If the flow meter is determined to be inoperative or malfunctioning,
the cost of the repair and any necessary parts will be determined
and a Troemner representative will contact you for approval
to either proceed or to return the unit in its "As
Found" condition.)
- "As
Found" 7 point mass flow calibration is performed.
- Restrictor
and orifice are replaced (if re-ranging or changing gases).
- Unit
is reassembled, helium leak and pressure tested to manufacturer's
specifications.
- "As
Left" 7 point mass flow calibration is performed.
- A NIST
traceable ISO/IEC 17025 compliant calibration certificate
that contains both tabular and plotted data for accuracy
versus flow is generated.
- A calibration
sticker is affixed to the instrument that specifies the
date of mass flow calibration.
Level
3 Flow Calibration Service – designed
for companies who require a third party validation of "As
Found" data only. This service includes:
- Visual
inspection upon arrival for signs of damage and/or wear.
(If the flow meter is determined to be inoperative or malfunctioning,
the cost of the repair and any necessary parts will be determined
and a Troemner representative will contact you for approval
to either proceed or to return the unit in its "As
Found" condition.)

is helium leak tested.
- "As
Found" 7 point mass flow calibration data is collected.
- A NIST
traceable ISO/IEC 17025 compliant calibration certificate
that contains both tabular and plotted data for accuracy
versus flow is generated.
- A validation
sticker is affixed to the instrument that specifies the
date of verification.

TROEMNER'S NATURAL FACTS

Lava, when first exuded from a volcanic vent, is liquid at a very high temperature: typically from 700°C to 1200°C (1300°F to 2200°F). However, the viscosity of lava is 100,000 times that of water.
